I am a writer. I love to write and I love to read. Every single one of my interests and hobbies has some connection to my writing.

I have played the piano since I was 8. I have since learned how to play the euphonium (like a baritone), trumpet, bass guitar, and I'm currently trying to teach myself classical guitar. I love all types of music ranging from Baroque and Classical style all the way up to Symphonic / Melodic / Death / whatever-you-want-to-call-it metal. My favorite style of music is Romantic era (Chopin, Rachmaninov, Debussy, etc.)

As I mentioned above, I love to read. Anything, everything, any word, any passage, any interesting fragment of language, I love to read it. I love to buy it too (I have a decent sized book collection). My favorite authors are Victor Hugo, Edgar Allan Poe, and Ayn Rand. My favorite books are 'Les Miserables' by Victor Hugo, 'Atlas Shrugged' by Ayn Rand, and 'We The Living' also by Ayn Rand. My favorite poem is 'The Bells' by Edgar Allan Poe and my favorite short story (which has a lot of E.A. Poe references) is 'Usher II' by Ray Bradbury.

I am also interested in philosophy. I respect Aristotle, I agree with Ayn Rand, and I wished Immanuel Kant never existed. I admire Socrates and deplore Plato (Socrate's successor). I like Existentialism up to a point. I hate any type of determinist philosophy. I am an Egoist… I am an Objectivist.

That takes care of the big three: music, writing/reading, and philosophy. What else is left? Everything else. I am interested in pretty much everything. The more I know about anything, the more I know about everything and while knowing everything is probably impossible, I'll probably still try.
